| The figure is rendered so that 3 dimensional and 2 dimensional forms are visible in the works, as well as the incorporation of Objective, Abstract, and Non-Objective styles into the painting. These paintings are a "stew" of styles and concepts that I call, The American Mutt Style. Contemporary as well as Traditional paint application is applied in these works so that what ends up on the canvas is a harsh, vulgar, simple, lively, colorfully dark rendering of the human form. My goal is to seperate myself from other painters while capturing the human form through my eyes. |
